What is Taiyi?

Taiyi (太一) V0 is Luban's first product iteration for Ethereum L1 preconfirmation. At Luban, our mission is to build innovative financial primitives for blockspace. Taiyi aims to exponentially improve the user experience (UX) of Ethereum Mainnet, making Ethereum great again!

For users, the main UX bottlenecks when using Ethereum Mainnet today are:

  1. Long transaction confirmation times (~12 seconds)

  2. Non-deterministic transaction fees

  3. High transaction fees

Taiyi solves the first two problems by introducing preconfirmations (aka "soft confirmations") to Ethereum L1 users, providing a UX on par with that of Rollups.

Benefits for Users

  • Shorter block time: transactions are confirmed quickly without waiting for the 12-second block time

  • Transaction costs are known deterministically in advance

Benefits for Validators/Proposers

  • Increased revenue with no additional risk

  • Easy to start:

    2. Change the MEV-Boost configuration

Our Mission

At Luban, our mission is to transform the way blockspace is utilized and traded, providing users with novel financial instruments to manage their blockchain interactions more effectively. Through Taiyi, our first product iteration, we seek to create a dynamic and efficient market for blockspace derivatives, leveraging advanced infrastructure products such as , restaking, and .
